Connect Google Search Console
See what people search on Google to find you, compare Google with AI answers for the same questions, and turn real searches into buyer questions.
4 minPlan: Growth, Pro and Agency
Connecting Google Search Console shows the searches that bring a brand up on Google: clicks, impressions, click rate and average position, by search and by page, for the last 16 months. Luciqo then puts Google next to AI: for each buyer question you track, you see where you rank on Google and whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity recommend you.
Luciqo only asks Google for read-only access. It never changes anything in Search Console.
Before you start
- A Growth, Pro or Agency plan.
- A Google account that is a user on the brand's Search Console property (Owner, Full or Restricted user is enough).
- The brand set up in Luciqo.
Connect your Google account
- Open your brand and click Connections in the sidebar.
- Find the Google Search Console card.
- Click Connect Search Console.
- Sign in to Google with the account that can see the brand's Search Console, and approve read-only access.
- You come back to Connections with the message "Google account connected. Now choose the Search Console property."
Choose the property
- Under Which Search Console property belongs to this brand?, pick the right property. Domain properties show as "example.com (whole domain)".
- Click Use this property.
The first sync starts straight away and takes a minute or two. It brings in 16 months of searches, the most Google keeps. The card then shows Connected and Last sync, and the pull is listed under Data pulls.
If the list is empty, the Google account you used isn't a user on any Search Console property. Add it in Search Console under Settings, then Users and permissions, or disconnect and connect with another account.
See your Google Search report
Click Google Search in the brand's sidebar.
- Headline numbers: clicks, impressions, click rate and average position for the last 28 days, with the change on the 28 days before.
- Clicks from Google, month by month.
- Google vs AI, for your buyer questions: each tracked question next to the closest Google search, its Google position, and how many AI engines recommended you in the latest analysis. A good Google position with 0/4 in AI is where GEO content helps most.
- Questions people ask Google: searches written like a question to an AI assistant. Click Track in AI next to one, or Track the top 10, to add them to your buyer questions. They're tracked straight away while your plan has room.
- Top searches and Top pages on Google for the last 3 months.
Search Console data is 2 to 3 days behind, and Google leaves out rare searches to protect people's privacy, so totals by search add up to less than the overall total.
Ask your data
With Search Console connected, Ask your data can answer questions such as "Which Google searches bring the most clicks?" or "Which searches show us on page 2 of Google?".
Keep it up to date
Data refreshes every Monday. To refresh now, click Sync now on the card. To stop, click Disconnect: past data stays, and no new data comes in.
Try it with your own brand
