Choosing buyer questions
Pick, add and manage the buyer questions Luciqo asks AI engines, so your results reflect how real buyers search for what you sell.

Buyer questions are the heart of Luciqo. Each analysis asks every tracked question on every AI engine, so the questions you choose decide what your results measure. Good questions sound like a real buyer typing into ChatGPT or Perplexity, not like a keyword list.
Before you start
- A brand added in Luciqo. See Getting started.
- Your country, language and Where do you sell? set correctly on the brand. Suggestions use them, so check them first with Edit details at the top of the brand page.
Understand the three types of question
Luciqo groups questions by what the buyer already knows:
- Discovery: buyers who don't know you yet. These are the most valuable questions to win, because they show whether AI recommends you to new customers.
- Comparison: buyers weighing you against competitors.
- Brand: buyers checking you out by name.
Questions you type yourself are shown under Your questions. Aim for a mix that is mostly Discovery. If you track no Discovery questions, the analysis panel shows a tip reminding you to add some.
Get suggestions from AI
- Open the brand and scroll to Buyer questions.
- Click Suggest questions with AI (or Suggest more questions if you already have some). It takes about 20 seconds and costs no tokens.
- Read through the suggestions. They are grouped into Discovery, Comparison and Brand, and written for your country, language and area.
- Tick the ones you want to track.
- Click Save tracked questions.
If you have many suggestions you don't want, click Clear suggestions to remove the unticked AI suggestions in one go.
Add your own questions
- Under Add your own question, type a question the way a buyer would ask an AI assistant.
- Click Add. If you still have room on your plan, it is tracked straight away. If not, it is added as a suggestion you can swap in later.
To remove a question, click the cross next to it.
Stay within your plan
The counter at the top shows Tracking x of y on your plan. Plans track up to this many questions per brand:
| Plan | Questions per brand |
|---|---|
| Free Snapshot | 10 |
| Starter | 25 |
| Growth | 50 |
| Pro | 100 |
| Agency | 50 |
If you tick more than your plan allows, Luciqo asks you to untick some before it saves.
Remember that every tracked question costs one token per AI engine on each analysis. With four engines, 25 questions use 100 tokens per run. If your balance is too low, the analysis panel tells you to track fewer questions or top up.
Tips for good questions
- Write in full sentences, as a buyer would ask: "Which accountants in Leeds are best for small businesses?" rather than "accountant Leeds".
- Mention your area for local and regional businesses.
- Cover each main service or product you want to be recommended for.
- Keep a few Comparison and Brand questions to see how AI describes you, but lean towards Discovery.
- Avoid changing your questions every week. Results are easiest to compare when the question set stays steady.
Use the results to refine
After an analysis, each question shows a tag such as 2/4: how many AI engines recommended you for it in the latest run. Questions at 0/4 are your biggest opportunities. Click a question in the results to see who wins it and why.
