Billing, tokens and top-ups
Understand how tokens and GEO credits are spent, choose or change your plan, buy top-ups and manage invoices in Luciqo.

Luciqo uses two balances: tokens for AI answers and GEO credits for written content. Each paid plan adds a monthly allowance of both, and you can buy top-ups whenever you need more. This tutorial explains how they're spent and how to manage your plan.
How tokens are spent
One token is one question answered by one AI engine.
- AI visibility analysis: every tracked question is asked on every AI engine, so a run uses questions × engines. With four engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity), 25 questions use 100 tokens. The Run analysis button shows the exact number before you start.
- Reputation report: a fixed 8 tokens per report.
- Automatic tracking: each weekly run uses the same tokens as a manual run, and the monthly reputation report uses 8 more.
Tokens are held when a run starts. If an engine fails to answer, those tokens are returned automatically. If a run can't start, nothing is spent.
These don't use tokens: suggesting questions and competitors, Analyse why they win, building a content plan, building personas and Ask your data.
How GEO credits are spent
One GEO credit is one article, one improved page or one outreach pack from Get cited elsewhere. Each piece includes two free revisions. If writing fails, the credit is returned.

Prices are before VAT. Annual billing saves about 20%.
Monthly allowances don't roll over: what's left of the allowance expires when the next one is added. Top-ups don't expire while your subscription is active. Luciqo always uses your monthly allowance first, then your top-ups.
New accounts start on the Free Snapshot with 40 tokens, once: enough for one analysis of 10 questions on four engines.
Check your balance
Your tokens and GEO credits are always shown at the bottom of the sidebar, and on Home. For the detail, click Billing and usage in the sidebar. Under Left to use, you'll see Tokens and GEO articles, with your monthly allowance.
Choose or change your plan
Only the workspace owner or an admin can change billing.
- Click Billing and usage in the sidebar.
- Under Plans, choose Monthly or Annual (save 20%).
- Click Choose and the plan name (or Switch to and the plan name if you already have one).
- For a new plan, pay in the secure checkout. You return to Billing and usage, and your plan shows there within a minute.
When you switch plan, the change happens straight away: the difference for the rest of the current period is charged or credited at once, and your new allowance is added once it's paid.
On the Agency plan, you pay per client brand. The number billed updates when you add brands, and Your plan shows how many are billed.

- On Billing and usage, find Top-ups.
- Click the top-up you want.
- Pay in the secure checkout. The top-up is added to your balance within a minute, and doesn't expire while your subscription is active.
Invoices, cards and cancelling
Under Your plan, click Cards, invoices and cancelling. This opens the secure billing portal, where you can update your card, download invoices and cancel.
If you cancel, your plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for. You can restart it any time before then. After that, the workspace returns to the Free Snapshot.
