Live share links

Create a live link to a brand's report that clients can open any time without logging in, and switch it off when you're done.

4 minPlan: All paid plans

A live share link is a private web address for a brand's client report. Your client can open it any time, with no login, and it always shows the latest results. You choose which sections it includes, how long it works, and you can switch it off at any moment.

It saves sending a new PDF every week: once automatic tracking is on, the link updates itself after each analysis.

Before you start

  • A paid plan. Live share links are included on all paid plans.
  • At least one finished analysis for the brand.
  • Your report branding set up, so the shared report carries your agency's name, logo and colour.
  1. Open the brand and click Client report in the sidebar.
  2. Under Sections, untick anything you don't want the client to see. The link keeps the sections that are ticked when you create it.
  3. In the Live share link panel, give the link a name, for example "Monthly report for Sarah". Only you see this name.
  4. Choose how long it works: Works for 30 days, Works for 90 days, Works for a year or No end date.
  5. Click Create.
  6. Copy the link straight away with Copy. For security it isn't shown again.

Send the link to your client by email or however you usually share reports.

If you need a link with different sections, change the ticks and create another link.

What your client sees

The link opens the same report you see on the Client report page, with your branding and only the sections you chose. It shows the latest results each time it's opened. Your client can also click Download PDF to save their own copy.

They can't see anything else in your Luciqo account, and they can't change anything.

See who's looking

Each active link is listed under the panel with its name, how many views it has had, when it was last viewed, and when it expires. Use this to check whether a client has opened their report.

  1. Find the link in the list under Live share link.
  2. Click Switch off.

The link stops working at once. Anyone who opens it sees "This link isn't available", with a note to ask the person who shared it for a new link.

Links also stop working when they reach their end date, and when the workspace no longer has a paid plan.

Good practice

  • Make one link per person or purpose, so you can switch one off without affecting the others.
  • Use an end date for links you send to people outside a long-term client relationship.
  • Treat links like passwords: anyone who has the link can open the report.
  • If a link may have been forwarded to the wrong person, switch it off and create a new one.
